Classic 3.0 is an ironic reinterpretation of the great classical art. Born from the idea to give to the gestures of Greek-Roman myths a provocative meaning between fun and irreverence.

This concept fits well the theme of the Biennale of Shiryaevo - Glee !
Joy - to live, to create and to take oneself not too seriously.

Inside an old house in the small Russian village of Shiryaevo, once a kindergarten and then a stable, the installation of two Italian artists : Stefano Bergamo and Renzo Durante create an exhibition with a vaguely retro taste and extremely kitsch, made of connections between local traditions and the history of Western art revisited.
In this satiated container, the spectator is lost in search of a clue, an image, a sentence.
The difficulty in finding a needle (Glee) in a haystack is the real key to understanding

The collaboration between Renzo Durante and Stefano Bergamo, arises from the desire of both (friends for some time) to experience a fusion between two different ways of seeing art.
Renzo is a sculptor very tied to the traditional "matter" (wood and stone). Stefano is an artist who loves the provocations of POP art and ranges from painting to digital. The biennial of Shiryaevo, was the occasion for a common project : the rereading of the great classical sculptures of the past.
Through interventions on photos and sketches of sculpture on wood and stone, the installation made inside an old Shiryaevo house is the final result.

Classic 3.0 est une réinterprétation ironique du grand art classique. Né de l'idée de donner aux gestes des mythes gréco-romains un sens provocant entre plaisir et irrévérence.
Ce concept correspond bien au thème de la Biennale de Shiryaevo – Glee !
Joie - vivre, créer et se prendre pas trop au sérieux.

Dans une vieille maison du petit village russe de Shiryaevo, qui fut un jardin d'enfants puis une écurie, l'installation des artistes italiens : Stefano Bergamo et Renzo Durante crée une exposition au goût vaguement rétro et extrêmement kitch, faite de liens entre les traditions locales et l'histoire de l'art occidental revisitée.
Dans ce lieu saturé, le spectateur se perd à la recherche d'un indice, d'une image, d'une phrase.
La difficulté à trouver une aiguille (Glee) dans cette botte de foin est la clé pour comprendre cette démarche.

La collaboration entre Renzo Durante et Stefano Bergamo vient du désir des deux amis (depuis longtemps) d'expérimenter une fusion entre deux manières différentes de voir l'art.
Renzo est un sculpteur très attaché à la "matière" traditionnelle (bois et pierre). Stefano est un artiste qui aime les provocations de l'art POP et va de la peinture au numérique. La biennale de Shiryaevo a été l'occasion d'un projet commun : la relecture des grandes sculptures classiques du passé à travers des interventions sur des photos et des croquis de sculptures sur bois et sur pierre, l'installation réalisée à l'intérieur d'une ancienne maison de Shiryaevo est l'œuvre finale.
