A research process, how the image of Che Guevara appears in the street
This video is a visual story about the research journey itself with some tentative categorical analysis (waving, wearing, with and with/out) to describe how the image appears in the street. My interest is largely in the vernacular (not institutional or mass media) uses of this image. Although many of the pictures arrive to me through mass media, they are showing people with the image in streets and homes and personally appropriating the “face” of Che Guevara for their own use.
